After more than 1 year since the start of construction (December 2022), up to now, the Thai Nguyen Province Stadium Project has basically completed the rough construction; Many items met and exceeded the set schedule. Currently, contractors are focusing on synchronous construction of the remaining items, striving to complete the project by the end of this year, 8 months ahead of schedule.

Whether the weather is cold or hot, on the large construction site of the Stadium Project in Thai Nguyen province, hundreds of engineers and workers are still working hard and enthusiastically. The construction atmosphere at every location is busy and urgent. Thanks to that, after more than 18 months of “speedy” construction, the most modern, large-scale sports project in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region is gradually coming into existence.

Mr. Phan Trong Nhat, Deputy Site Commander of Licogi 13 Joint Stock Company (construction contractor of the Provincial Stadium Project), said: This is the peak construction period, so we mobilized about 230 engineers and workers. , along with over 30 locomotives and equipment, working continuously in 3 shifts/day to ensure progress. Up to now, stands A, B, C, D have basically completed the structure and are in the process of finishing construction. It is expected that the unit will hand over the entire rough part of the stadium before April 30 for the investor to deploy the next bidding packages.

According to the assessment of the project investor, the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board: With the high determination of the contractors, working “3 shifts, 4 crews” , and at the same time there are many innovations in construction. Up to now, the main items of the Stadium Project are reaching and exceeding the set progress. In particular, many items have been basically completed, such as: Leveling; Asphalt concrete mats for the main road surface; return roads T1, T2.1; return irrigation ditches; Water supply and drainage system along the main road and outside the stadium; underground tank item 200m3 (2 tanks); sewage treatment tank; rough part of stands A and C; plastering part of stand A; electricity and water in the A stand… Currently, contractors are focusing on completing the construction of the football field and technical infrastructure around the stands…

Determined to complete by the end of this year

Mr. Nguyen Van Ha, Director of the Investment Project Management Board of civil and industrial construction projects in the province, said: According to the original plan, by the second quarter of 2025, the Stadium Project in Thai Nguyen province will be completed. However, with the current progress, the project will be completed in 2024. To achieve this goal, along with sending staff to regularly follow the construction site, every week, the investor will deliver Communicate with contractors and supervision consultants to review progress and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles during the construction process. In the coming time, the unit will continue to urge contractors to synchronously implement solutions to speed up construction progress on the basis of ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment on the construction site, meeting quality requirements according to design.

Along with accelerating the project progress, the investor also closely coordinates with departments and branches to promptly appraise and evaluate the construction volume to disburse capital to ensure the plan. Accordingly, in 2023, the investor has disbursed nearly 97.5 billion VND (reaching 100% of the plan). Particularly from the beginning of 2024 until now, the investor has disbursed funds 14.9/145.6 billion VND (reaching 10.23%).

According to the plan, after completing the rough part, the contractors will continue to synchronously construct the items inside the stadium, the pitch and the fire prevention and fighting system… The work of selecting contractors to construct the package Equipment and stadium roof packages for early completion and handover of the project are also being actively deployed by the investor.

With a total investment of over 535 billion VND, the stadium is one of the province’s key projects. The project is built on an area of ​​more than 15 hectares, with a design scale of 22,000 covered seats. This is an international standard stadium, surrounded by a pitch with 8 circular tracks and 10 straight tracks. Inside the stadium there are also areas for competing in many other sports, such as: high jump, long jump, weightlifting…
