On the evening of April 23, the Police Investigation Agency of Yen Bai Province prosecuted the case, prosecuted the defendant, and ordered the arrest of the defendant to temporarily detain Tran Manh Hung (born 1980, in Yen Bai City), who is material weighing employee of Yen Bai Cement and Mineral Joint Stock Company, on charges of violating labor safety regulations.

Yen Bai Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case, clarifying all the criminal acts of defendant Tran Manh Hung.

According to a report by the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation, around 1:30 p.m. on April 22, an accident occurred at the Cement Factory of Yen Bai Cement and Mineral Joint Stock Company (Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province). Serious labor caused 7 deaths and 3 injuries.

The initial cause of the accident was determined to be due to errors in implementing repair operations procedures (no signs of objective impact), leading to a serious occupational accident.

According to the leaders of Yen Bai province, after the incident, the authorities of this province coordinated with Yen Bai Cement and Mineral Joint Stock Company to implement measures to support the victims, and at the same time Investigate and clarify the case to strictly handle any violations.
