Renovating the garden and family has been planned in each area: livestock barns; fruit and vegetable growing areas; Traditional medicinal plant gardens, installing drip irrigation systems for plants, using many clean production and animal husbandry methods such as biological bedding, increasing the proportion of herbs as food in animal husbandry. With that approach, many traders ordered products from his family’s garden and his income increased many times compared to before.

Mr. Mung excitedly said that when starting to build a new rural standard garden, he also had worries and concerns, but with the support and help of all levels, especially the coach, his family boldly carried it out and until now. Supported by the district with 40 million VND, Mr. Yen boldly re-planned the garden and invested in implementing items such as building concrete roads to facilitate care and harvesting; Install a remote-controlled automatic mist irrigation system; Organic waste is composted as fertilizer for plants; Apply organic measures to prevent diseases and limit the use of pesticides. The garden is growing lushly, the fruit trees are full of branches, the flowers and leaves are blooming, many tourists have come to visit, experience and place purchase orders at higher prices than the market, sometimes there is not enough left to supply. , especially during the Lunar New Year every year.

This confirms that it not only increases farmers’ income, but also demonstrates the harmonious combination between economic development and environmental protection to preserve the landscape and fresh living space of the village in a green direction. – clean – beautiful, but the new rural standard garden also creates a livable rural landscape, contributing to building a new countryside. Mr. Yen’s family’s garden won first prize in the contest “Beautiful new rural standard garden in 2022” of Nghia Dan district and won third prize in the province.

Currently, Nghe An province has 983 standard gardens that have been completed and are being certified; Up to this point, 348 gardens have been granted Standard Garden Certificates.

In addition, the rooftop garden model is promoted by the provincial coach to build, model and replicate, creating a place for members to visit and learn.

A typical example is the integrated VAC economic model of Mr. Phan Van Duong’s household. He is a member of the blind people of Tru Met Hamlet, Nghia Khanh commune (Nghia Dan). Mr. Duong’s model has a total area of ​​5,000 square meters, including 2 fish ponds, combined with growing guava and grapefruit, raising cows, pigs, ducks, and chickens; Average income is nearly 150 million VND/year, meeting new rural garden standards in 2023.

Coach Thanh Chuong district has also built models such as: Applying advanced technology to goods production during the integration period; Some communes have built high-tech net house models, producing products with high efficiency and economic value, earning an income of 500-700 million VND/year. To date, the district has 6 net houses in Thanh Lien, Thanh Tien, Vo Liet, Thanh Linh, and Thanh Duong communes.

Connecting product consumption

Recently, Coach Nghe An province has promoted activities to support connecting agricultural product consumption, building brands, branding, traceability, helping farmers access capital and science and technology.

Typical activities such as: Provincial coach connects consumption through the clean food store chain BiBi Green, through restaurants, hotels, consumption of turtles, chicken, fish, turmeric powder,… for members; Coach Nghi Loc supported the sale of 3 tons of melons, cucumbers, and tomatoes of all kinds for farmers.

Quy Chau district coach continues to propagate and effectively implement the movement “Sewing cold-proof clothes for buffaloes and cows”. During the severe cold spell in early 2024, the Association at all levels supported 600 canvas shirts and the cost of purchasing materials was over 21 million VND. Thereby contributing to minimizing livestock losses for farmers.

Promote coordination according to Joint Resolution No. 06

Mr. Thang said that in 2024, the Association will continue to focus on promoting training and building new rural standard gardens, completing legal documents and procedures for granting standard garden recognition certificates to members, according to the plan of the Association. proposed by province and district.

Promote coordination according to Resolution No. 06/NQLT/BNNPTNT-Coach dated October 9, 2023 on coordination in implementing work tasks between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Vietnam Horticultural Association for the period 2023-2030 In order to promote cooperation, linkage, and effective development of horticulture and the value chain of Vietnamese agricultural products, from there, peer-to-peer coordination between the two sides is also more harmonious, training in building terrace gardens and technology gardens in urban areas, VAC model, application of 4.0 technology for clean production, model building and product consumption for members.

Coordinate with relevant units to train on science and technology, science and technology, build economic models and projects in the field of VAC and replicate the model.
