According to the Decision, the scope of planning adjustment research in the entire areas of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts, Son La province, with a total natural area of ​​about 206,150 hectares, is limited as follows: East and Southeast bordering Hoa Binh province; The West and Northwest border Yen Chau district, Son La province; The South borders Thanh Hoa province and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic; The North borders Phu Yen district, Son La province.

The planning objective is to concretize the Vietnam Tourism System Planning for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2045; Planning of Son La province for the period 2021 – 2030, vision to 2045; Master plan for development of Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Son La province until 2020, vision to 2030 and other related plans. Build and develop Moc Chau National Tourist Area to become an attractive destination, a driving force center for urban development and tourism services in the Northern midland and mountainous region, promoting socio-economic development , improving people’s lives and ensuring national security and defense.
