At around 3:00 p.m. on April 23 in Bac Ly commune, when the weather was hot, the sky suddenly darkened, then a tornado struck with hail, causing dozens of houses to have their roofs blown off. Fortunately, it did not affect people’s lives.

According to the leader of the People’s Committee of Bac Ly commune, the two villages Huoi Cang 1 and Huoi Cang 2 were most heavily affected by the recent tornado.

There were 25 houses, Kindergarten and Bac Ly 1 Primary Ethnic Boarding School whose roofs were blown off.

Estimated damage is about 150 million VND.

In My Ly commune, hail also occurred in the afternoon of the same day. However, because it was not affected much by the tornado, the damage was insignificant.

Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, on the afternoon of April 14, in the communes of Huu Lap, Bao Nam, Bao Thang… there was also a phenomenon of hail and tornadoes, causing damage and causing 1 injured person.
