The Chinese car company has confirmed that BYD Seal is among the car models that will launch in the Vietnamese market in the near future.
When entering Vietnam, the electric version of BYD Seal will have no equal competitors.
This model has the same wheel size as the Toyota Camry with a length of 4,800mm and a width of 1,875mm. Wheelbase 2,920mm. Vietnam currently does not have any electric sedan model of equivalent size. The hybrid version can compete with the Toyota Camry.
The BYD Seal design is easily reminiscent of Porsche or Tesla because of its coupe design. The wind resistance coefficient is even lower than the Taycan (lower is better).
The electric and hybrid versions differ mainly on the front fascia, with the hybrid getting a grille for the internal combustion engine. The main lighting cluster is lens-shaped LED.

Seal’s interior has similarities with Atto 3, with a steering wheel design and a rotatable 15.6-inch central screen. The screen behind the Seal steering wheel is larger than on the Atto 3.
Overall, the Seal’s interior is less disruptive than the Atto 3.
BYD Seal is available in both electric and hybrid configurations. The hybrid version is more likely to return to Vietnam due to the current infrastructure. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that BYD wants to popularize electric sedans. With the electric version, the highest capacity battery configuration is 82.56 kWh, giving an operating range of up to 700km. The hybrid version combines a 1.5L turbocharged engine with an electric motor combined with a CVT gearbox.
This model also has many safety technologies with ADAS features.
