Mr. Tran Qui Thanh spoke emotionally about his wife

He said he regretted what happened in the case and was willing to take responsibility for his actions.

Also according to Mr. Thanh, this incident does not change his determination and aspirations. Mr. Thanh affirmed that he did not give up and frankly acknowledged his mistakes and would try to overcome them.
“The defendant feels sorry for and is grateful to his 70-year-old wife, who suffered a stroke but had to take over the company’s work under extremely difficult circumstances.
The defendant does not intend to use his successes and contributions to justify his mistakes. The defendant hopes that the jury will give the defendant the opportunity to correct his mistakes so he can continue to contribute,” Mr. Tran Qui Thanh said emotionally about his wife.

Mr. Tran Qui Thanh’s two daughters asked for relief for their father
Ms. Tran Ngoc Bich thanked the jury and the representative of the prosecutor’s office for their analysis so that she could clearly understand her mistake.
“The defendant’s respected father is a role model, who told the defendant that he chose to work and live in Vietnam to build a Vietnamese business that is proud of the world. The defendant’s father also advised the defendant to The defendant and the defendant’s children are girls, so they should choose the easy path instead of participating in a risky and challenging business.
However, to live is to do your best to contribute to society, not just for yourself, but to contribute something to the country. No matter how small or big, live moderately because you won’t take anything with you when you die,” Ms. Bich said.
Ms. Bich said she regretted her mistake. This is an experience that helps her become more mature. Ms. Bich asked the jury to consider and recommend leniency for her father, sister and the individual defendant to have more opportunities to compensate and correct the missing and incomplete values in recent times. .
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Uyen Phuong said she went through emotional ups and downs and questioned herself a lot.

Ms. Uyen Phuong admitted that she regretted her mistake and thereby helped her become more mature.
Ms. Phuong also asked the jury to consider mitigation for her father and younger brother.
While listening to his two daughters say their last words, Mr. Tran Qui Thanh shed tears many times because of emotion.
The court is expected to announce the verdict tomorrow morning, April 25.
