On April 24, the People’s Court of Kien Giang province brought to trial 7 defendants on charges of forgery at work. According to the indictment, from 2019 to 2021, Tran Thanh Phong (born 1981) was a security guard at Go Quao District Medical Center.

Huynh Long (born 1979), Danh Chanh Tuy (born 1968) and Lam Thi Minh Phung (born 1971) are doctors at the medical center mentioned above.
Taking advantage of his assigned duties and for personal gain, Phong discussed and agreed with Tuy, Long and Phung to accept a fake health certificate (without anyone coming to examine him directly) to supplement his exam records. Class A1 driver for 4 defendants who are collaborators of vocational training centers and vocational secondary schools, including: Nguyen Thi Huyen Nga, Le Hoang Xuan, Nguyen Chi Loi and Le Thi Hong Gam (born 1982).
Even though they knew they were not assigned the task of signing medical examination certificates, Long, Phung and Tuy signed 1,700 false conclusions for the four defendants mentioned above to gain illegal profits of about 48 million VND.
In particular, defendant Phong took advantage of being assigned to hold the key to the seal cabinet of Go Quao District Medical Center so he used his seal to affix the above mentioned number of false health examination certificates, thereby making an illegal profit of nearly 23 million VND.
Nga, Loi, Gam, and Xuan are aware that doing a health check without someone directly attending is not in accordance with regulations, but they want to attract more and more students to participate in order to benefit from the theory teaching process. so they colluded with Phong and Phung to falsify nearly 750 health examination certificates, thereby making illegal profits of nearly 17 million VND.
Defendant Tran Thanh Phong was a security guard, but was the mastermind in the case, so he was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 13 years in prison.
Faced with the above behavior, the jury sentenced defendant Phong to 13 years in prison; Phung, Long, and Nga were each sentenced to 12 years in prison; The remaining defendants were sentenced to 1-8 years in prison.
