Early in the morning of April 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department (PC08) handled many cases of cyclists running on prohibited roads on Pham Van Dong Street.
Accordingly, about 1 hour after setting up a checkpoint at the intersection of Pham Van Dong – Road No. 19 (Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc City), the Hang Xanh Traffic Police Team (under PC08 Division) fined many cases of riding an exercise bike into the intersection. forbidden road.
At about 5:00 a.m. on the same day, Mr. HCC (47 years old, Go Vap district) was cycling from Go Vap district toward Thu Duc city. As he was going downhill from Binh Loi bridge, he was suddenly signaled to stop by traffic police.
At this time, Mr. C. appeared extremely confused and bewildered, not knowing why the traffic police asked him to stop his bicycle. After being explained by the authorities, Mr. C. realized that he had ridden his bicycle on a prohibited road.
Even though I begged to let it go because I didn’t know this lane prohibited bicycles, didn’t see the prohibition sign, and was violating it for the first time, the Traffic Police did not accept it.
“Every morning I ride my bike to exercise, but only around Gia Dinh park area. Today I changed the distance and was fined for running on a prohibited road. I really didn’t know this lane was banned from bicycles, if I knew I didn’t run in for anything. I was wrong so I had to accept it, I’ll pay more attention in the future, now I have to take the motorbike taxi home myself,” Mr. C. said.
For the error of “entering a road with a sign prohibiting entry for the type of vehicle he is driving, which is a bicycle”, Mr. C. will be fined according to Decree 100 of 2019 of the Government, with a level of 200,000 – 300,000 VND, VND temporarily impound the vehicle.
