(PLVN) – With the achievements that athlete Hoang Thi Hoa has achieved, she has become a fulcrum and great encouragement for Thanh Hoa sepak takraw to continue to reap many successes.
In the development of high-performance sports in Thanh Hoa, sepak takraw has always been identified as a strength. Since 2015, Thanh Hoa sepak takraw with its new generation of athletes has continuously reaped outstanding achievements in national and international tournaments. Prominent is athlete Hoang Thi Hoa, who is considered a worthy descendant of Luu Thi Thanh.
Hoang Thi Hoa has participated in sepak takraw since 2011 at Thanh Hoa Club. With passion and active practice, she won many excellent achievements for the provincial sepak takraw team, after a period of time this sport fell into decline.

In 2016, by winning 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze at the world championship, Hoang Thi Hoa marked the return of Thanh Hoa sepak takraw. A year later, Hoa continued to win 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal at the world championship, and 1 silver medal at the SEA Games. In 2018, won 1 silver and 1 bronze at the Asian Games (ASIAD).
In 2018 and 2019, Hoang Thi Hoa both won silver medals at the world championship. This female athlete is truly a rare talent in Thanh Hoa sepak takraw in the past 10 years.
In 2020, Hoang Thi Hoa won 1 silver medal in the beach sepak takraw championship, 1 bronze medal in the 2023 sepak takraw championship. Entering 2024, Hoang Thi Hoa continued to reap 2 bronze medals in the national championship.
Athlete Hoang Thi Hoa shared: “My family is very supportive of me pursuing my own career, especially my mother-in-law. Coming to the 2024 national championship today, my husband also resigned from work to come cheer for me with his children.”
Hoang Thi Hoa got married and gave birth at the end of 2022, but in October 2023 she participated in the national sepak takraw championship and won 1 bronze medal.
With her achievements and contributions, Hoang Thi Hoa fully deserves the title “For Thanh Hoa Development” given by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee in 2019. The excellence of athlete Hoang Thi Hoa is the fulcrum. and great encouragement for Thanh Hoa sepak takraw to achieve more and more success.
