An old man in Bac Lieu was suspected of being beaten to death by a man when he unsuccessfully asked for water

On April 24, the People’s Committee of Phong Thanh Dong commune (Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu province) said that the Bac Lieu Provincial Police were investigating to clarify the cause of Mr. TVT’s (68 years old, living in hamlet 12) death.

According to initial information, at around 8pm last night (April 23), a person named TVG (37 years old, living in Phong Thanh Dong commune) entered Mr. T.’s house and asked for ice water to drink.

At this time, Mr. T. said that the house did not have ice water, only hot water, when suddenly G. rushed in to beat Mr. T. and then hugged the victim into the house. This morning, family members discovered that Mr. T. had died and reported him to the police.

Immediately after receiving the news, the police conducted an investigation of the scene and an autopsy to investigate the incident.

The autopsy results determined that Mr. T. died due to external force, leading to a broken rib penetrating his lung.

G. is currently in criminal custody for investigation.
