Duong Quang commune has African swine fever

(backancity.gov.vn)- In Duong Quang commune, from April 13 to April 23, 2024, African swine fever was detected in the villages: Ban Bung, Ban Gieng, Quan Nua, Na Rao, Na Di. There were 107 pigs from 37 infected households culled, with a total weight of more than 6,200kg.

Diseased pigs are destroyed according to regulations

Immediately after receiving the information, the Commune People’s Committee mobilized on-site forces to immediately destroy the infected pigs according to regulations.

According to Mr. Ban Van Bach, Vice Chairman of Duong Quang Commune People’s Committee, African swine fever is currently appearing in the villages. The Commune People’s Committee, together with the authorities, quickly deployed measures to suppress the epidemic to avoid widespread spread.

In addition, current climatic conditions create conditions for pathogens to develop and cause disease, the risk of epidemics arising and spreading in the near future is very high. Therefore, people need to improve disease prevention and control.
