In the midst of those historic April days, we had the opportunity to return to Tuyen Quang, and again visited Tan Trao – a special national relic site, where President Ho Chi Minh and central agencies lived and worked during his time. the pre-uprising period and the resistance war against the French colonialists.

The relic site is located in the communes of Tan Trao, Minh Thanh, Trung Yen, Binh Yen, Luong Thien (Son Duong district) and Kim Quan, Trung Son, Hung Loi, Trung Minh, Dao Vien, Cong Da, Phu Thinh ( Yen Son district) of Tuyen Quang province.

From Tuyen Quang city, up the historic Lo River, along Highway 37 and Highway 2C with flat asphalt leading through rich, peaceful and picturesque countryside, we touched the sacred land of Tan Trao after about an hour by car.

It’s not the first time coming here, but every time, I can offer a stick of incense in Tan Trao communal house, admire the simple thatched roofs, where Uncle Ho and his revolutionary predecessors once lived and worked. work and lead the entire people to regain independence and freedom for the nation; Helping Vietnam escape from colonialism and feudalism and develop brilliantly like today, an indescribable emotion and gratitude welled up in me.

Celebrating the day of liberation of the South and unification of the country, we would like to send to readers the images of the Resistance Capital that we have recorded. Let’s watch to review history together, to show gratitude and reflect on each person’s responsibility to their homeland and country.

Na Nua Shack, where Uncle Ho lived and worked from late May to August 1945. Here, he told comrade Vo Nguyen Giap the historic saying: “At this favorable time has come, no matter how great the sacrifice, even if we have to burn the entire Truong Son range, we must resolutely win independence.” …”.
A souvenir photo next to the famous Tan Trao Banyan Tree. Here, on the afternoon of August 16, 1945, comrade Vo Nguyen Giap, on behalf of the National Uprising Committee, read Military Order No. 1 and ordered troops to march toward Hanoi.
Allied Shack: Mid-July 1945, implementing the agreement between Ho Chi Minh and the US Command in Kunming, team “Deer” (Deer Team) – an intelligence task force of the United States Strategic Intelligence Agency (OSS) In the name of Allied troops, commanded by Major EK Thomas, they parachuted into Tan Trao, coordinated with the Viet Minh to fight the Japanese army, and helped train a number of technical subjects for the Vietnamese liberation army. The house of Mr. Hoang Trung Dan (Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune) – where comrade Vo Nguyen Giap lived and worked from May 21 to August 16, 1945.
To remember the merits of Uncle Ho and the revolutionary predecessors who lived and worked in Tan Trao, in early 2013, the People’s Committee of Tuyen Quang province broke ground to build the temple. The temple is more than 600 m2 wide, located on a campus of 2,300 m2. On August 16, 2014, the ceremony to enshrine Uncle Ho’s statue was held. The statue is cast in pure bronze, 1.72 m high, weighs 1.4 tons, and is placed in the middle of the temple.
On both left and right sides of the temple are 14 full-body statues of 14 revolutionary predecessors. Among them, the hometown of Thua Thien Hue has two outstanding children: General Nguyen Chi Thanh and poet To Huu.
