Merge 10 communes of Hon Quan and Binh Long town to establish a new district

On April 24, Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee to deploy and arrange administrative units at district and commune levels in Binh Phuoc province for the period 2023-2030.

Accordingly, in the period 2023-2025, Binh Phuoc will arrange 10 commune-level administrative units under Hon Quan, including: An Phu, Minh Tam, Minh Duc, Thanh Binh, Phuoc An, Tan Loi, Tan Hung, An Khuong, Thanh An, Tan Khai and Binh Long town become new district-level administrative units.

In the period 2026 – 2030, Binh Phuoc continues to arrange 8 commune-level administrative units under Phu Rieng City, including: Long Tan, Bu Nho, Long Ha, Long Binh, Long Hung, Binh Son, Binh Tan, Phuoc Tan and Phuoc Long Town into a new district-level administrative unit; arrange Binh Son commune (Phu Rieng district) and Long Giang commune (Phuoc Long town) into new commune-level administrative units; Merging Phu Rieng commune and Phu Trung commune (Phu Rieng district) into Dong Phu district; merged 2 communes Nghia Trung and Nghia Binh (Bu Dang District) into Dong Phu District; merged two communes Thuan Loi and Thuan Phu (Dong Phu District) into Dong Xoai City.

Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong requested the Provincial People’s Committee to direct relevant branches to review the overall work, order and procedures, ensuring synchronization and complete legal bases during the implementation process.
