Today, April 24, Party Central Committee Member, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung chaired the regular citizen reception session in April 2024 at the headquarters of the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee. At the headquarters of the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee, there were 2 cases of citizens registering feedback and petitions to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Lap, in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri Town, denouncing the People’s Committee leaders. Ward 1, Quang Tri town covered up for party members to build illegal works, violating the law; Mr. Nguyen Manh Huong, at 217 National Highway 9, denounced his status as a party member leading the City Civil Judgment Enforcement Department. Dong Ha took advantage of his position in performing official duties. However, the denunciations of the two cases are not part of the case of receiving citizens of the Provincial Party Committee Secretary.

According to Regulation No. 11-QDi/TW of the Politburo and Regulation No. 33-QDi/TU of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, the content of the Provincial Party Secretary’s reception of citizens is to receive feedback and recommendations, People’s complaints and denunciations about signs of moral degradation, lifestyle and signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” of cadres and party members; Other feedback, recommendations, complaints, and denunciations, especially complaints that are crowded, complicated, long-lasting, and have an impact on security and order, have been resolved by the government or competent agencies. according to authority but people still do not agree.

However, to ensure citizens’ rights, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Tung requested departments and branches to report in detail the content of the case and the handling process. In addition, it is recommended that the authorities increase their responsibility and review the process of handling complaints and denunciations within their authority and within the legal time limit.

At the same time, we request the Department of Justice to direct the Lawyers’ Association and the Provincial Legal Aid Center to support citizens in exercising their rights to petition, complain and denounce in accordance with the law, contributing to ensuring citizens’ rights. .
