According to the indictment, on August 28, 2023, Nguyen Tien Vu used a car with license plate number 20C-253.88 to illegally transport 320 boxes of fireworks with a total weight of 428.2kg to one man (unknown). background, specific address) from the bus station area of ​​Cao Bang City, Cao Bang province along National Highway 3 to Tan Long circle area, Thai Nguyen City with a salary of 2,200,000 VND.

On the morning of August 29, 2023, when Vu drove the car to Quan Ha commune, Bach Thong district, Bac Kan province, he was discovered by the functional forces of the Bac Kan Provincial Police, and all evidence was seized. number of fireworks mentioned above.

At the trial, the defendant admitted his crime. Considering aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the Trial Panel sentenced the defendant to 5 years in prison and an additional fine of 10 million VND.

Previously, defendant Vu had a previous conviction for “Possession of prohibited goods”. On March 19, 2020, Nguyen Tien Vu was sentenced to 18 months in prison by the People’s Court of Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province but the sentence was suspended. The 36-month probation period has now been completed but the sentence has not been erased. criminal convictions.
