* When will the hot weather end, and when will the rainy season in Dong Nai begin, sir?
– According to forecasts, the heat will gradually decrease in area and intensity in early May. However, it may not be completely over until early June. The rainy season officially begins in the province from mid to late May, depending on each locality in the province.
Before the rain, the last days of April to early May will be the transition period. During the transition period and the beginning of the rainy season, there are still intermittent heat waves of varying degrees.
Compared to other years, this year’s rainy season comes later, why?
– This year’s rainy season comes later than the average for many years due to the impact of the long hot phase (El Nino), leading to a prolonged hot dry season with a higher level of heat than the average for many years.
This is something that happened many years ago (2015, 2016). Accordingly, the rainy season came late, preceded by a long dry, hot season with many months without rain similar to this year.
* Can you talk more specifically about weather developments in the province in the near future?
– In recent days, the heat has decreased in intensity in the province. However, there will still be hot weather in the near future. Although it will not reach the level of the beginning of the dry season until mid-April, there will still be places where the heat will be particularly intense, or locally there will still be the possibility of hot sun. especially harsh in some places.
The province is about to enter the transition period, more convective clouds appear, humidity increases, and although heat decreases, the weather is still hot and uncomfortable. It is forecasted that from the last days of April there will be seasonal rain, then from mid-May, the province will enter the rainy season.
