In early April 2024, in Yen Thanh and Nghi Loc districts, there were consecutive property theft cases, causing frustration among the people. Faced with that situation, Yen Thanh District Police established a specialized project to fight and destroy it. Through investigation, the Special Investigation Committee determined that the suspect responsible for the above thefts was Le Sy Dao.
This is a person who has no job, loves to play and needs money to spend, so he often takes advantage of loopholes in people’s homes to steal cash and valuable assets. For example, on April 3, 2024, in Dong Ban hamlet, Lang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Le Sy Dao “stole” 01 iPad Gen 8 tablet and 01 iPhone 14 Promax, 1 Japanese brand phone .
In addition, there was a theft of 7.8 million VND at a residential house in Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district…
After consolidating documents and evidence, on April 5, 2024, the Special Investigation Team arrested Le Sy Dao for “Theft of property”.
At the investigation agency, the subject admitted his crime and confessed to having committed a total of 11 cases of property theft. Initially, the police estimated the loss through the thefts to be nearly 100 million VND.
The Police Department is also completing procedures to return some assets to people.
The case is continuing to be investigated and clarified.
