On April 24, the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Vietnamese Student Association, and the Central Team Council held a launching ceremony for the journey “Dien Bien Phu – Riverland Aspiration “Towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
Immediately after the departure ceremony, the delegations divided into branch journeys towards the land marking “the illustrious five continents, shaking the earth” Dien Bien Phu. Among them, the journey “Dien Bien Phu – River’s desire”; “I love my Fatherland” journey implemented by the Vietnam Youth Federation; “Students with great aspirations” journey implemented by the Central Vietnam Student Association.
The “I love my Fatherland” journey was implemented by the Central Vietnam Youth Union, with 120 participating delegates who are union officials and outstanding youth in various fields. The journey is divided into 2 routes for operations, including: Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Son La – Dien Bien route; Hanoi – Yen Bai – Lao Cai – Lai Chau – Dien Bien route.
Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam presented many gifts and cash to veterans, war invalids and families of martyrs in Hoa Binh province
Among them, the group traveling from Hanoi – Peace – Son La – Dien Bien is led by Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Vietnamese Youth.
The same morning, at Peace, the group had many meaningful activities. The delegation performed a flag saluting ceremony and offered flowers and incense at Uncle Ho’s monument at the hydroelectric project Peace.
The organizing committee awarded 20 framed maps of the Fatherland, 500 paper maps of the Fatherland in response to the campaign “Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers” and took souvenir photos under Uncle Ho’s monument.

Also in Hoa Binh province, the delegation offered incense at the Hero Cu Chinh Lan Memorial (Binh Thanh commune, Cao Phong district).
Heroic martyr Cu Chinh Lan is one of the first 7 people nationwide to be awarded and posthumously awarded the title Hero of the People’s Armed Forces by the Government.
On the afternoon of April 24, the delegation performed a flag-raising ceremony and offered incense to commemorate the heroes martyrs died at Co Noi intersection (H.Mai Son, Son La).
Here, the organizing committee awarded 20 frame maps of the Fatherland and 500 paper maps of the Fatherland in response to the campaign “Proud of a stretch of mountains and rivers”; awarded “Happy House” to students and former youth volunteers in difficult circumstances; donated many gifts and cash to veterans, war invalids, and martyrs. After that, the delegation offered incense at the Memorial House martyrs youth volunteers.
