On April 24, two videos appeared on social networks recording scenes of a teacher in a kindergarten class abusing children.

In one video, a teacher grabbed a child’s hair, made him fall to the floor, sat on the child’s stomach, and stuffed food into his mouth even though the child was crying.

In another video, the teacher cornered a boy and beat and slapped him even though he cried and was scared.

These actions were performed in class and witnessed by many children.

The incident was determined to occur at Ti Bo Kindergarten class, Linh Dong ward (Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City).

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said that upon receiving the information, the Department coordinated with the local Police to verify and handle.

Ti Bo Kindergarten class was suspended on April 24. The department will support school relocation according to parents’ needs.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen said that the teacher who abused the children in the video is also the owner of this Kindergarten class.

Currently, the Police force has intervened and is working to clearly verify the violations and handle them according to the provisions of law.

The education sector does not accept acts of violence and will strictly handle all units that cause similar cases to occur./.
