On April 24, the authorities of Binh Duong province announced that the forest fire in Cau Mountain (Dau Tieng protection forest, Binh Duong province) had been completely extinguished.

Previously, on the evening of April 23, a forest fire broke out in Cau Mountain protection forest, Dong Sen hamlet, Dinh An commune, Dau Tieng district.

Authorities quickly responded, mobilizing people and vehicles to fight the fire. After nearly 4 hours, the fire was extinguished, but the burned forest area was about 4.5 hectares.

The highest risk is the Cau-Dau Tieng mountain protection forest area, accounting for nearly 40% of the province’s total forest area.
