Top Vietnamese players participated in the Bat Kiet Chinese Chess tournament in Thai Nguyen

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized: Chinese chess is not only a game, but also an art that requires depth and strategic thinking. In the current era, preserving and developing this sport is not only the job of the players, but also the responsibility of the entire community. Through the Award, it will contribute to introducing and widely promoting the culture and tourism potential of Thai Nguyen; strengthen the spirit of cohesion and exchange between athletes across all regions of the country; promote the campaign “All people exercise their bodies following the example of the great Uncle Ho” and the movement “Be healthy, make a career and protect the country”; At the same time, raise awareness about the role and effects of exercise and sports in improving the health and quality of life of people in the province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested the referees to uphold their sense of responsibility, work fairly and objectively, and accurately manage the competition contents; Athletes compete with all their might in the spirit of solidarity, honesty, dedication and responsibility, respecting the rules and their opponents. Making the Tournament a platform for healthy competition, learning from each other and contributing to honoring chess in the community.

The 1st Bat Kiet Chess Tournament – Thai Nguyen Tea Flavor in 2024 will be held from April 24 – 27. The tournament has the participation of 8 top chess players in Vietnam, with a total of 18 matches. The matches will be broadcast live and commented on VTC2 television channel and on social networks.
