At the meeting, the representative of the project investor, the Provincial Urban Development and Construction Investment Management Board (Management Board), informed that the resettlement technical infrastructure of Huong So 9 area was nearly completed and under contract. with relevant units for water connection.

However, because the construction contractor, Joint Stock Company 1-5, did not make any effort in organizing the construction, it was not possible to continue constructing the remaining works according to the contract (including water supply items). Therefore, the Management Board transferred all the unrealized work to the contractor in the joint venture (Confitech Dong A Joint Stock Company), thus affecting the work of completing infrastructure and connecting the water supply system.

Similarly, the resettlement technical infrastructure of Huong So 10 area was also due to the contractor, Thien Phat Thinh Company, making no effort in organizing the construction and being unable to continue constructing the remaining work according to the contract. The Management Board has transferred the entire unrealized volume to another contractor in the joint venture, Confitech Dong A Joint Stock Company.

Also according to the Management Board, in both of the above areas, for a long time there has been no official direction from the competent authorities.

Representative of Confitech Dong A Joint Stock Company (project construction unit) said that it was done according to the design and the water supply items were also completed. This enterprise hopes that Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Company will create conditions to supply water to people.

Regarding the clean water supply unit, Mr. Truong Cong Han (Deputy General Director of Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company) said that water lines will be installed for Huong So 9 resettlement area in April 2024. As for Huong So 10 area, the unit will inspect and coordinate with investors and construction units to soon provide clean water to people.

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho said that although both the investor, the construction unit and Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Company have tried, they still cannot meet the need for clean water of the people. people, which is a pity. Mr. Tho requested the units to make more efforts and take advantage of working all day off to provide clean water to people in both Huong So 9 and 10 areas before May 10.

“As soon as I received the feedback from PLVN Newspaper, I invited the relevant parties and had this meeting. Coming here, I am happy because some houses have been built spaciously and cleanly. Through the assurances of the parties, it is expected that the people here will have clean water to use before May 10 and not far from now, this will be a model residential area and the liberation of the Hue citadel will also be guaranteed. on schedule,” Mr. Tho said.

While completing the house, when visited by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sinh (73 years old, living in Huong So 9) happily shared: “Uncle Tho is a person who often cares about people’s lives, All the people who resettled in Hue capital loved it. Today, with your words as above, our people are very happy, they are about to escape the shortage of clean water.”

Previously, as PLVN Newspaper reported, in the Huong So 9 and 10 resettlement areas, most of the people served in the military, previously lived in Tran Binh Dai (Mang Ca station), were relocated and given resettlement land. come here.

Households said that this is expected to be a typical residential area, but currently it is not good because of the lack of clean water, making living very inconvenient. Huong So 9 area currently has 32 houses under construction, the number of households that have moved to Pham Van Nghi street is 17 houses, Bai Say 5 and Bai Say 6 streets are 11 houses. As for Huong So 10 area, 7 houses have been moved in. All of them do not have clean water for daily activities.
