On April 23 and 24, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Audit Committee held its 40th session under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Cam Tu – Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee. Central Inspection Committee.
At this meeting, the Central Audit Committee reviewed the report and proposed disciplinary action against a number of violating Party members at the Party Committees of the provinces: An Giang and Soc Trang.
The Central Audit Committee found that Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang province; Mr. Tran Van Chuyen, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Soc Trang Province, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing his assigned responsibilities and tasks.

These two officials were also determined to violate regulations on what party members cannot do and their responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, reducing the reputation of the party organization and local government, to the point of requiring consideration and disciplinary action.
Based on the Party’s regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Vuong Binh Thanh.; Reprimand Mr. Tran Van Chuyen.
Request inspection when there are signs of violation of the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Lieu
At the meeting, reviewing the results of supervision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the standing officials of the Provincial Party Committee of Thai Binh and Bac Lieu, the Central Audit Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the standing officials of the Provincial Party Committee. Thai Binh and Bac Lieu seriously review, learn from experience, and promptly overcome violations, shortcomings, and limitations in leadership, direction, construction, and implementation of Working Regulations; staff work and land management and use in investment projects; declaration of assets and income. The Central Inspection Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee to direct inspections when there are signs of violations against the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and report the results to the Central Inspection Committee.
