At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony took place between India and Vietnam.

Ms. Le Thuy My Chau shared an overview of the strengths of Vietnamese higher education and opportunities for cooperation with India.

“Currently in Ho Chi Minh City there are 57 higher education institutions, including Ho Chi Minh City National University with 6 member universities, 36 public higher education institutions directly under Vietnamese ministries and branches.” and 15 non-public higher education institutions of educational investors.

Ho Chi Minh City’s higher education institutions have become an important source of high-quality human resources for the overall development of Vietnam.

According to Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, India and Vietnam have signed many cooperation agreements.

“Vietnam is developing strongly and both countries are aiming for a common goal. I visited universities in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces, I saw very young students with a lot of passion. passionate about different things, have good ideas and initiatives. I want to focus on education to create high quality human resources and we want to support Vietnam in this field.

Indian companies coming to Vietnam are mainly concentrated in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, but I see other provinces such as Da Nang and Da Lat are also very well developed lands. Education is the foundation for building human resources for the future, which will help future generations develop better” – Mr. Sethi added.

Cooperation in training in the fields of AI, IoT, microchips, robotics…

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong – acting head of the scientific management department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology – said that India has strengths in the fields of artificial intelligence, IoT, microchips, robotics…

“The content that Ho Chi Minh City is implementing is very consistent with India’s experience in implementation and development.
