However, in addition to branded, quality agricultural materials, there are still poor quality agricultural materials of unknown origin due to profit-seeking small traders mixing them up. trade that deceives consumers with sophisticated tricks, causing damage to producers and anger in society, reducing consumer confidence, reducing the reputation of honest manufacturers and traders. main. If the source of agricultural materials is not guaranteed, farmers buy poor quality fertilizers and fake pesticides, which will create many consequences, especially for perennial crops, causing heavy losses to people. manufacture.

Currently, producers are almost completely dependent on businesses and agents selling agricultural supplies. When crops get sick, people go to places selling agricultural supplies to buy medicine. Plant protection medicine sellers just sit at home but still advise farmers on the types of medicines, dosages, and how to use them… emotionally without even seeing the disease directly, not to mention some agents and business stores who, when the person qualified to sell is not present, let family members sell medicine instead.

Meanwhile, after spraying and fertilizing the garden, the effects are not known, leading to many unfortunate events, the ones who suffer the consequences are still the producers. Therefore, people want the authorities to take strong measures to deal with dealers selling fake and poor quality agricultural supplies to help farmers feel secure in using safe agricultural supplies. promote the development of agricultural production.

To date, in Dak Nong province, there are 3 fertilizer factories in operation with a capacity of about 137,500 tons/year, and about 20 distributors of fertilizers, pesticides, and plant varieties. There are currently no facilities for producing, bottling, and packaging plant protection drugs and veterinary drugs, and there is no center for producing plant and animal varieties, so the supply of agricultural materials still depends on the units. outside the province. Therefore, the province has not been proactive in local supply, causing selling prices to be higher than some localities in the region. Shortages of agricultural materials still occur locally, especially at times of high demand. People’s use increased.

In 2023, the Inspectorate of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development conducted inspections focusing on fertilizers and plant protection products such as: Foliar fertilizers and new micronutrient fertilizers on the market with suspicion of quality. Specifically, the unit randomly inspected 121 establishments producing and trading fertilizers and pesticides. As a result, out of 20 randomly tested samples, there were 6 samples that did not meet quality standards, including 1 sample of NPK fertilizer and 1 sample of poor quality foliar fertilizer. Notably, there were 2 samples of foliar fertilizer and 2 samples of fertilizer. fake micronutrient fertilizer. Regarding pesticides, the unit inspected 79 establishments and took 10 pesticide samples. The analysis results showed that 2 samples did not ensure quality and did not comply with technical regulations. Dak Nong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued 8 decisions to sanction administrative violations with a fine of more than 64 million VND. In addition, in 2023, the Market Management Department of Dak Nong province will also handle 3 cases of trading in pesticides that violate labels that do not match the true nature of the goods and impose a fine of 30 million VND.
