Implement Plan No. 03/KH-BCD dated April 4, 2024 of the Food Safety Steering Committee of Son La province on implementing the Month of Action for Food Safety in 2024; Plan No. 04/KH-BCD dated April 11, 2024 of the Food Safety Steering Committee on organizing an online conference to deploy “Action Month for Food Safety” in Son La province in 2024. On the morning of April 17, 2024 at the online meeting room of the People’s Committee of Son La province, the Food Safety Steering Committee of Son La province organized an online conference to deploy “Action Month for Food Safety” in 2024 with the theme : “Continue to ensure security and food safety in the new situation.”

Chairing the Conference at the online meeting point of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Dac Thang, Director of the Department of Health – Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee. Attending the conference was a member of the Food Safety Steering Committee of Son La province according to Decision No. 229/QD-UBND dated February 6, 2020 of the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee on strengthening the Food Safety Steering Committee. Son La province (Not including the Chairman of People’s Committees of districts and cities), Leaders, experts of the Provincial People’s Committee Office, VOV Northwest Reporter, Son La Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Provincial Electronic Information Portal.

Attending the Conference at the online meeting point of People’s Committees of districts and cities are members of the Steering Committee on Food Safety of districts and cities; Standing assisting department of the Steering Committee of districts and cities.

The Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on Food Safety chose the theme of Action Month for Food Safety in 2024 as: “Continue to ensure security and food safety in the new situation”. Starting from that real situation, Son La province implements the Month of Action for Food Safety in 2024 with the following goals:


first. Promote propaganda, education, raise awareness, determine the responsibilities and actions of party committees, party organizations, officials, party members and people in ensuring food security and safety; Promote the roles and responsibilities of organizations, individuals and businesses in enforcing food safety laws; Timely information on safe, high-quality food supply chains, violating establishments, potential risks of insecurity and food safety.


2. Strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of food security and safety assurance; resolutely fight, prevent and strictly handle organizations, individuals, production and business establishments that violate regulations on security and food safety; Highlight the role of governments at all levels, management agencies, social organizations and consumer supervision in compliance with food safety laws for individuals and production facilities. , food business.


3. Improve capacity to prevent and proactively handle food poisoning and food-borne diseases; Minimize poisoning due to unsafe food consumption.

– In addition to regular activities ensuring food safety quality, “Action Month” 2024 is also a highlight of the year, creating a peak period and launching a communication campaign to comply with legal regulations. Law on food safety in food production and business activities, and food advertising; Minimize violations in food production and business; proactively prevent food contamination, minimize food poisoning, especially cases of food poisoning that many people suffer from using unsafe food products.

– Attach responsibilities to People’s Committees at all levels to focus on direction and resource allocation for food safety assurance at localities; Improve the effectiveness of coordination between local authorities, functional agencies and socio-political organizations and organizations in ensuring food safety; Promote the sense of responsibility to the community of individuals, production and business organizations, and consumers for ensuring food safety.
