On the morning of April 24, talking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Van Han (36 years old) – owner of MH gold store in area 3, Du Lau ward, recounted that on the afternoon of April 22, he and his wife were selling goods to two female customers. Then a young man wearing a helmet covering his head and holding a stun gun walked in, threw his backpack on the table and asked him and his wife to put the gold in their bag.
“As recorded in the video, at that time, despite facing the subject, my two female customers were very calm and slowly walked out of the store. They helped me call the neighbors and cheered everyone on. The subject was also small, and sounded like he was trying to be strong to scare us. Plus, we had prepared in advance, so my husband and I were not afraid.
After that, two police officers who were on their way to work saw the incident and quickly came to the store. When he saw more and more people, the one who was afraid was not us but Minh, he lost his composure and hesitated… Finally, everyone mobilized, a while later Minh accepted to be arrested” – Mr. Han recounted the details of the incident.
Following the developments of the incident, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong – living in Tan Dan ward, Viet Tri city – commented: “It can be seen that the subject was somewhat naive when choosing a densely populated place with very high security. to rob the jewelry store. When he threatened the store owner, he failed and immediately afterward two police officers and people arrived, this person must have regretted his actions.”
Previously, on April 22, Lao Dong Newspaper had an article “Hearing the shouts, 2 police officers promptly arrested the robber of a gold store in Phu Tho”, reporting on the case of Dinh Quang Minh wearing a backpack and using tools. With a gun, he broke into the gold shop on Tran Phu street (Du Lau ward), threatening to rob the property.
Faced with the above situation, the gold shop owner and many people shouted. At that moment, two police officers were on duty. They heard the shouts and arrived, then along with many other people, promptly controlled Minh.
Currently, the Police Department is consolidating records and handling subjects according to the provisions of law.
