This is a big festival that unites Kon Tum youth, a forum, voice and action of Kon Tum youth. The decisions of the Congress express the will and aspirations of Kon Tum youth, joining forces with young people for a prosperous and civilized socialist Vietnam with the spirit of “Kon Tum youth are patriotic, creative, volunteering, integration, development”.

In the province, there are 10 districts, city associations and 102 affiliated grassroots associations. To date, 42/102 grassroots associations and 01/10 districts and associations have successfully organized congresses for the 2024-2029 term. In particular, the 8th Congress of Vietnam Youth Union of Dak To district, term 2024-2029 (held on April 4) and the 3rd Congress of Vietnam Youth Union of Po Ko commune, term of 2024 -2029 (held on January 26) was chosen by the Provincial Congress as the district and grassroots level congress.

To prepare well for the congress, the Vietnam Youth Federation of Kon Tum province has deployed guiding documents and plans to organize congresses at all levels towards the 8th Congress of Vietnam Youth Federation of Kon Tum province, term 2024. -2029. At the same time, direct all levels of associations to closely follow the instructions, plans, regulations, and Charter of the Association, conduct negotiations for the positions of president and vice president of Vietnam Youth Union at all levels, ensuring compliance with regulations, progress.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Congress issued decisions to establish subcommittees to serve the congress. In addition, the Provincial Congress organized a conference to collect comments on the draft congress documents, personnel project, and list of personnel members of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels for the 2024 – 2029 term. At the same time, Implement activities to welcome the congress, prepare necessary conditions for the congress in terms of personnel preparation, develop a plan to organize the congress, consolidate clubs, teams, youth groups… .

The Provincial Youth Union also directed associations to strengthen propaganda work before, during and after the congress. The propaganda content of the Provincial Youth Union focuses on the role and position of the association in the solidarity front and gathering of youth; results achieved during the term; the Association’s campaigns and programs; typical youth examples and models that need to be replicated.

The Provincial Vietnam Youth Union directs associations at all levels, depending on the actual conditions of localities and units, to flexibly choose forms of organizing activities before, during and after the congress. In particular, focusing on contents such as: Visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged students and policy families; Commencement and handover of youth projects; organize displays of innovative products and startups; commending outstanding ethnic minority youth; organize sports tournaments, cultural and artistic competitions; Organize activities about sources, red addresses, and historical relics; Implementing projects and youth work to contribute to youth for community life, building the homeland of Kon Tum province to be rich, strong and civilized. Through each implementation activity, it contributes to increasing creativity and innovation in the Congress and the Association’s work for the 2024 – 2029 term.

According to the plan, in May 2024, 100% of grassroots associations will complete the organization of the congress; In August 2024, 100% of districts and associations will complete the organization of the congress. It is expected that the 8th Congress of Vietnam Youth Federation of Kon Tum province, term 2024-2029 will be held at the end of September 2024.
