On the evening of April 24, in the quarterfinals of the Asian Futsal Championship, the Vietnamese futsal team unfortunately lost to the Uzbekistan futsal team with a score of 1-2, thereby not being able to win a direct ticket to the 2024 World Cup.

“Golden Star Warriors” opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Thinh Phat. However, the opponent came back in the last minutes to win an important victory. Duc Hoa and his teammates can only blame themselves for missing too many dangerous situations.

Vietnam’s futsal team still has a chance to win tickets to the World Cup on the condition that they must pass two play-off matches on April 26 and 28.

Accordingly, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team will face the Kyrgyzstan futsal team in the first play-off match, taking place at 4:00 p.m. on April 26. Previously, Kyrgyzstan lost 1-6 to Iran in the quarterfinals.

In case they overcome this opponent, the Vietnamese futsal team will continue to have a second, decisive play-off match to compete for tickets to the World Cup at 12:00 on April 28.

The opponent of “Golden Star Warriors” is the winning team in the previous play-off match between Afghanistan and Iraq.
