(PLO)- In 2024, Quang Binh Electricity will support 300 million VND for five households in difficult circumstances in the province to build charity houses.

April 24, Quang Binh Electricity Company coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross and other departments, branches and localities to organize a groundbreaking ceremony to build a gratitude house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam (55 years old, Thuong Hau village, Vo Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district).

With the connection of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Quang Binh Electricity Company supported Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam’s family with an amount of 60 million VND to build a charity house. The remaining funds are supported by local authorities, brothers, sisters and relatives, both in cash, construction materials and labor days.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam is a single mother, belonging to a poor household with extremely difficult housing circumstances. Her son is also often sick so he does not have a stable job. The house I live in is the old house of a relative who lent it, which has also been degraded and damaged, but there is no way to repair it.

According to Mr. Vu Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of Quang Binh Electricity Company, in addition to production and business tasks, ensuring stable electricity supply to serve people’s lives and socio-economic development needs. The Association and the electricity industry strive to fulfill their social responsibilities through gratitude work and support the donation of gratitude houses to families in particularly difficult circumstances.

“In 2024, Central Power Corporation spends 4.2 billion VND to support the construction of 70 gratitude houses in 13 provinces and cities in the Central region – Central Highlands, including supporting the construction of five gratitude houses. in Quang Binh province, with a total cost of 300 million VND. Hopefully the families who are supported to build charity houses will soon overcome all difficulties and have a more spacious and solid place to live in the upcoming rainy and stormy season,” Mr. Phong added.

Households supported by Quang Binh Electricity Company to build charity houses in 2024 include: Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam’s family, living in Vo Ninh, Quang Ninh district; Mr. Phan Mau Tuat, lives in Duy Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district.
Mr. Dinh Toan’s family lives in Xuan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district; Ms. Nguyen Thi En, lives in Mai Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district and Ms. Tran Thi Tha, lives in Quang Thuan commune, Ba Don town.
