According to Nha Trang City People’s Committee, after receiving information from tourists accusing the restaurant of fraudulent acts such as colluding with taxi drivers and under-weighing quantities, the city’s authorities have inspected the restaurant’s operations. This seafood restaurant.

Through work, the inspection team did not have enough evidence to determine that TS restaurant had the behavior as reported by customers.

However, the business household owner committed other violations, such as not fully displaying the name of the production and business establishment on the sign according to the business registration certificate; advertising goods that are not shown in Vietnamese (advertisements selling coconuts in Chinese without accompanying Vietnamese).

In addition, TS seafood restaurant has unclear prices (stating the unit as “k”, not stating the unit as “dong”), causing confusion for customers.

This business also employs people who directly process food without a certificate of food safety training; Food service business without a certificate of establishment meeting food safety conditions.

In addition to the fine, Nha Trang City People’s Committee required the restaurant owner to remove the sign with the name TS and the sign advertising the sale of coconuts in Chinese.

Like Dan Tri informed, Mr. Phan Cuong shared the content of “an unhappy experience he had in Nha Trang” on social networks.

According to Mr. Phan Cuong, on March 30, he and many friends went to Nha Trang city to work and travel. On the same evening, his group of friends booked a table at TS seafood restaurant (on Tran Phu street). However, when calling 3 taxis, the drivers deliberately took passengers to the wrong address.

Mr. Cuong believes that the seafood restaurant lied about the fish when he weighed it and the fish was served on the table (Photo: Phan Cuong).

“Called 3 drivers from International taxi company, they all took us to a fake address also named TS seafood,” Mr. Cuong wrote.

The male tourist said that because the “commission” for bringing customers to eat is high, many drivers are willing to take customers here even if they request a different address.

Mr. Cuong also suspected that the seafood restaurant that he thought was a fake address had “switched” a 3.4kg natural grouper, which when brought to the table was only half left. This fish costs nearly 3 million VND (unit price 850,000 VND/kg).

Regarding the above incident, Nha Trang International Taxi Company fired 2 drivers for some “sensitive” issues; 1 driver was arranged to run normally, according to the customer’s requested schedule.
