At around 5:30 a.m., on April 25, 2024, on the Chanh River channel (a section within the administrative boundaries managed by the People’s Committee of Ha An Ward and the People’s Committee of Phong Hai Ward), a bamboo boat sank.
When the accident occurred, there were 6 people on the vehicle going fishing together, including: Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born in 1979, permanent residence in area 12, Ha An ward, Quang Yen town (boat driver) and 5 other people all have permanent residence in Lien Vi commune, Quang Yen town.
During the trip, a thunderstorm and tornado caused the vehicle to overturn and sink, leaving four citizens named Cuong, Huong, Nghia, and Mo missing. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhip, born in 1980, had a stroke in Nam 2 Village, Lien Vi Commune, swam to shore and were safely rescued.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Town People’s Committee directed the Town Military Command, Town Police, Ha An Ward People’s Committee and the town’s functional forces to coordinate with Ha An Border Guard Station. , Crew 1 – Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security mobilized over 250 people and 12 ships and boats to search and direct localities along both sides of the Chanh River near the area where the accident occurred to focus on reviewing and searching. Search and rescue missing victims.
Currently, local authorities and authorities are still carrying out the search for missing victims.
