Today, April 25, information from the People’s Committee of Dong Thap province said that following the success of the Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2022, the People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province will continue to organize the Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2024.

This year’s Dong Thap Lotus Festival takes place at the Temple of Literature park (Ly Thuong Kiet street, ward 1, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province). The event will be held from May 16 to 19, with the theme “Radiant lotus color”.

Within the framework of Dong Thap Lotus Festival, a series of exciting activities will take place such as announcing the first lotus lotus export to Japan. Implementation of Vietnam’s largest lotus map, lotus ao dai parade with the participation of 5,500 Dong Thap women, international lotus workshop, workshop to improve the lotus industry value chain in Dong Thap province.

In parallel, there will be a culinary contest of dishes made from lotus, a lotus food street, a lotus fashion contest, an exhibition of Southern art, paintings and ceramics with the theme of DongThap lotus, and trekking between the lotus and Melaleuca seasons. Bird.

There are also activities such as an international lotus display space, a lotus river, and lotus space design with 66,000 lotus pots. Here, there are more than 57 lotus varieties beautifully arranged and arranged, creating an interesting experience space for residents and visitors.

The organizing committee also organized an Industry and Trade Fair in the Mekong Delta – Dong Thap in 2024, gathering 250 booths and display space for the lotus industry chain, introducing about 60 OCOP products from lotus and over 120 products processed from lotus. . This activity promises to be a satisfying shopping destination for residents and tourists during the festival.

Dong Thap Lotus Festival 2024 aims to honor the lotus flower, promote the development of the lotus industry associated with tourism development and create a local image, contributing to the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province.

Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Minh Tuan said that the 2024 Dong Thap Lotus Festival is a provincial-scale event, with the most activities ever in festivals (about 30 activities) that Dong Thap Organization tower.
