Tra Vinh Power Company (PC Tra Vinh) said that the company has developed 455 new customers; bringing the total number of electricity customers in Tra Vinh province to 210,315 customers. Receive power supply dossiers and energize 37 projects, with an average power supply processing time of 2.08 days/project, a decrease of 2.92 days/project compared to the prescribed time (5 days/project). ).

Right from the beginning of 2024, PC Tra Vinh has implemented the directions of the Southern Power Corporation on enhancing electricity saving such as: Coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade, reporting to the Provincial People’s Committee on the situation of load growth in hot weather period and recommend that the People’s Committee of Tra Vinh province direct and promote electricity saving according to Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023 of the Prime Minister, and guiding documents of the Chairman of the People’s Committee province to promote electricity saving.

At the same time, promote electricity saving solutions through 5 mass organizations (Women’s Union, Veterans Association, Farmers’ Association, Labor Confederation and Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union), coordinating with agencies Media: Tra Vinh Newspaper, Tra Vinh Provincial Radio and Television Station, Radio Stations of districts, towns and cities in Tra Vinh province… promote communication about electricity saving.

In addition, promote direct propaganda at the Company’s transaction points with content that is easy to understand and remember. Directly guide customers to implement solutions for reasonable, economical and effective use of electricity.

The company has planned and implemented many propaganda programs on economical use of electricity to the business community, administrative agencies, schools and all electricity users. Specifically, the solution that PC Tra Vinh has been implementing is to focus on propagating and instructing customers on how to use electricity economically such as: recommending the use of electrical equipment with energy saving labels; Replace incandescent light bulbs with LED and energy-saving lights; Use air conditioning at a temperature not lower than 26 degrees Celsius; Regularly maintain and maintain electrical equipment in the family, limit electricity use during peak hours and turn off electrical equipment when not in use… Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and habits of using electricity people’s safety and savings.

The effectiveness of propaganda work has changed the awareness of people and businesses about using electricity economically and effectively. After many efforts, according to records, the electricity saving propaganda work in Tra Vinh has now gradually gained consensus from electricity users.

As a result, in March 2024 alone, PC Tra Vinh saved 2.42 million kWh of electricity, an increase of 5.36% over the same period and reached 2.16% of commercial electricity output; In the first quarter of 2024, the Company saved 7.05 million kWh of electricity, reaching 2.21% of commercial electricity output.
