Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee has issued the Plan to implement the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2024.
According to the Plan, Dong Thap maintains, consolidates and improves the quality of products that achieve 3 – 5 star OCOP certification; Support at least 05 potential products achieving 5-star OCOP to complete dossiers to request the Central Government to evaluate and recognize national OCOP products;
Dong Thap strives to have at least: 50% of OCOP products recognized in 2021 participate in evaluation and reclassification in 2024; 30% of subjects are small and medium enterprises; 50% of OCOP entities participate in modern sales channels and 100% of the province’s OCOP products are traded in the online environment…
To achieve the above targets, Dong Thap’s Plan sets out many key tasks and solutions. In particular, Dong Thap reviews, selects and incubates start-up products to develop into OCOP products, especially products that exploit and combine local materials;
Dong Thap deploys tasks and solutions to support businesses and startup projects to effectively participate in the OCOP Program on the basis of connecting raw material areas and maximizing the added value of natural resources. local, meeting market needs, in addition to supporting businesses in applying digital transformation, towards green production and circular economy.
At the same time, Dong Thap supports tourist areas and destinations to improve the quality of operational services, meet OCOP standards for community tourism service products and tourist attractions, and promote the development of rural tourism associated with craft villages and traditional craft villages.
