(PLO) – Binh Duong is leading the country with 5 cities, followed by Quang Ninh province with four cities.
Like PLO Just informed that on the morning of April 25, the People’s Committee of Ben Cat town, Binh Duong province held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of An Dien ward, An Tay ward in Ben Cat town and Established Ben Cat city in Binh Duong province.

After Ben Cat town officially became a city, Binh Duong has nine district-level administrative units, including four districts and five cities: Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen and Ben Cat.
Thus, up to now, Binh Duong is the locality with the most cities in the country five cities.
Ranked second is Quang Ninh with four affiliated cities: Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Mong Cai and Ha Long.

The three provinces have three affiliated cities: Thai Nguyen, Dong Thap and Kien Giang.
13 provinces with two affiliated cities include: Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, An Giang, Hau Giang, Tien Giang .
The remaining localities have an affiliated city.
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Plan for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, by 2025, Quang Ninh will become a centrally run city on the basis of forming an inner city area including seven cities: Ha Long, Cam Ranh, and Cam Ranh. Pha, Uong Bi, Mong Cai – Hai Ha, Dong Trieu, Quang Yen, Van Don and re-established Tien Yen town.
