(PLO) – Within the framework of the upcoming 2nd Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2024, there will be many interesting activities, including making the largest Lotus Map in Vietnam.
On April 25, Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee held a press conference to inform about the second Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2024.
Following the success of the first Dong Thap Lotus Festival in 2022, this year’s Lotus Festival has the theme “Radiant Lotus Color”. The festival aims to honor the Lotus flower, promote cultural and economic values, promote the development of the Lotus industry in association with tourism development and create a local image, contributing to the socio-economic development of Dong province. The festival will take place from May 16 to 19, at Temple of Literature Park (Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Ward 1, Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province)

According to Mr. Tuan, this is a provincial-level event with the most activities ever in festivals (30 activities), of which highlights include: International Workshop on Lotus; Workshop on Improving the value chain of lotus industry in Dong Thap province; Announcing the first lotus lotus export to Japan; International lotus exhibition space; Sen River; Culinary contest of dishes made from lotus; Sen Food Street; Fashion contest; Trekking between Lotus season – Tram Chim; Sen experience tour….
The large scenes and miniature scenes of the festival will be unique spaces about Lotus, along with attractive activities such as: Map from the largest lotus in Vietnam; Sen Ao dai parade, with the participation of 5,500 Dong Thap women; Lotus space with 66,000 Lotus pots, with more than 57 Lotus varieties beautifully arranged and arranged will create an interesting experience space for residents and visitors.
