Below is the content of the letter the Principal of Hanoi University of Education sent to students:

“My beloved students!

These will be my last instructions to my beloved students as principal. This is also an opportunity for teachers to express their gratitude to you. Starting May 1, 2024, he will stop being principal according to regulations. He returned to the Department of Physics and participated in teaching there.

I planned to write a thank you letter on May 1st, but on a holiday you are busy, so please let me send it first.

I wish you all a happy and comfortable vacation. The children arrange to visit their families and help their parents to further strengthen the family bond. Due to the conditions, some children will spend their days off to work part-time to earn a little extra money to cover living expenses and have to stay. Surely my parents don’t blame me for this. Regardless of the circumstances, I still believe that you are very affectionate and responsible people.

I know it’s redundant, but the teacher still reminds me that holidays will be very crowded, so please pay attention to traveling safely.

I am grateful to you, because you have given me love and shown me that life and people are more lovely than what I have. These are blessed days for me.

He is also a normal person, sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes discouraged, sometimes worried and sometimes pessimistic. Thanks to you guys, I got up and overcame. Deep in my heart, my love for you and for my children is one.

I always expect you to become kind people, always desiring to do good things in life. This is my absolute faith in you.

When deciding on a career, he chose to be a teacher. Being a principal depends on the love and trust of school officials, teachers, students and superiors. I tried but couldn’t do as much as I wanted. I also blame myself. When the prescribed management age expires, he returns to his rightful position: as a teacher.

No matter where you are or what you do, I will always love you. You will always be my reason for living, I will forever be your teacher Minh. Wishing you happiness and love in life; Live with gratitude, bravery, try and succeed!”

At the end of the letter, the principal also expressed his desire to shake hands goodbye and take souvenir photos with his students.

“On the morning of April 26 – Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., if you don’t have class, I invite you to come up to the Principal’s lobby to shake hands goodbye and take a photo with me.”

The content of the letter, after being posted on social networks, attracted the attention and sharing of many students. After only 30 minutes of posting, there were more than 2,000 expressions of emotion, hundreds of shares and hundreds of comments expressing gratitude to the principal.
