According to initial information, on the morning of April 24, Mr. LVL and his wife (residing in Binh Duong province) took their 2-month-old daughter to the TNT Ben Cat vaccination center for a 6-in-1 vaccination.

At the vaccination center, the family is consulted by a doctor before vaccination. After vaccination, the baby showed strong reactions and suffered anaphylactic shock. Lan, born in February 2024, was the one who received the vaccine and the incident occurred.

According to a report from the Center for Disease Control of Binh Duong Province, the incident happened at nearly 8:00 a.m. on April 24. Parents took baby LAN to the TNT Ben Cat Vaccination Center for vaccination.

The baby was examined, his condition was stable, and he was eligible for vaccination. The baby was prescribed and vaccinated with 1 injection of Infanrix hexa vaccine 0.5ml and 2ml of Rotavin vaccine.

About 15 minutes later, the baby cried and turned blue in both legs. The emergency doctor injected 1/4 tube of Adrenalin 1mg/1ml and transferred the baby to the emergency room at My Phuoc General Hospital. Here the baby was given emergency treatment, intubated, and given fluids, but he became increasingly purple and his skin became pale.

According to the Binh Duong Department of Health, after predicting the condition, the baby was transferred to Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital for further emergency treatment. In the afternoon of the same day, the baby stirred and his skin turned pink. Prognosis is cautious, continue emergency monitoring.

By the morning of April 25, a representative of Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital said that the baby’s condition was temporarily stable.

A representative of the Binh Duong Department of Health said that the two types of vaccines given to babies are still expired.
