On the morning of April 25, information from the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province said that at about 5:30 a.m. on the same day, on the Chanh River channel (the section belonging to the People’s Committee of Ha An ward and People’s Committee of Phong Hai ward, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province), a The bamboo boat carrying 6 people to exploit seafood encountered a storm and capsized.

The boat capsized and sank, leaving 4 people missing, 2 people were rescued promptly.

Through initial verification, 4 people were missing including Ms. NTH (born 1982), NTM (born 1983), NTN (born 1979), residing in Lien Vi commune, and Ms. DTC (born 1966, residing in Cam La commune, Cam La town). Quang Yen commune).

The remaining two people, Ms. Nguyen Thi T. and Ms. Nguyen Thi N. (born 1980, residing in Lien Vi commune) were safely rescued.

After receiving the information, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province, was present at the scene to direct and urge search and rescue work.

Authorities and local authorities are still searching for missing victims.
