In the first 4 months of 2024, Gia Lai Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with departments, branches and localities to check the current status of 5 areas proposed to close mineral mines, including: Fluorite ore mine in Ia Le commune, Chu Puh district of Bach Long Company Limited; Stone quarry for construction materials in Nhon Hoa town, Chu Puh district of Duy Nhat Gia Lai Company Limited; Sand quarry for construction materials in Ia Rsom commune, Krong Pa district of Dong Hung Gia Lai Joint Stock Company; Sand mine in Chu Drang commune, Krong Pa district of Son Dat Gia Lai Company Limited; Construction stone quarry in Nghia Hung commune, Chu Pah district of Dai Doan Ket Tay Nguyen Joint Stock Company.

Through monitoring the mineral exploitation situation and reflecting information sources, Gia Lai Department of Natural Resources and Environment recommends: People’s Committees of districts: Ia Pa, Phu Thien, Chu Prong, Duc Co, Ia Grai, Kbang and People’s Committees of An Khe town inspect, verify, and handle illegal mining and transportation of minerals and provide information on inspection and handling results to media agencies reporting on this case according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 19 Decision No. 462/QD-UBND dated July 30, 2021 of Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee; At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Tax Department and Phu Thien District People’s Committee to check the compliance with the law on mineral exploitation activities for Trang Xuan Gia Lai Joint Stock Company at the construction sand mine, Ia Ake commune, Phu district.
