Speaking at the opening of the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Nam Dinh affirmed: the term of the People’s Councils at all levels of Nghe An province 2021 – 2026 has undergone nearly 3 years of operation with many innovations, creativity, and enhancements. professionalism, application of information technology on many contents and work tasks according to regulations… From innovating the preparation and organization of People’s Council meetings; Verify draft resolutions submitted to the meeting; organize a TXCT conference, synthesize and classify voters’ opinions and recommendations; regular and specialized monitoring activities; Receiving citizens, resolving applications and letters of financial complaint from citizens… The results of activities of People’s Councils at all levels in the province have contributed to the overall socio-economic development of the province, continuing to consolidate and enhance its position. position and role of elected bodies in the political system at all levels in the province.

However, some activities of People’s Council delegates at all levels still have difficulties, such as in considering and passing resolutions on local socio-economic development; discuss and decide on social policies, decide on investment policies, project programs at all levels at local levels… The application of science and technology in monitoring the implementation of local budgets, monitoring activities Judicial action, environmental protection monitoring… still have limitations.

“From that reality, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council has built and included in the 2024 work program the organization of a conference to foster operational skills for provincial and district People’s Council delegates for the 2021 – 2026 term”, Deputy Chairman Standing Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Nam Dinh emphasized.

Accordingly, it is recommended that the Provincial and District People’s Council delegates focus on absorbing and at the same time frankly stating difficulties, problems, and inadequacies from practical activities to exchange and discuss to learn from each other. Improve skills, knowledge, and valuable experience in operations, ensuring better implementation of the tasks of elected representatives and elected agencies, worthy of the trust and expectations of voters and the People in the conscious.

At the conference, delegates heard experts convey 4 topics: experience in researching, analyzing, and evaluating socio-economic reports of People’s Committees at all levels; experience in building programs, plans and organizing specialized supervision of the People’s Council, Standing Committee and People’s Council committees at all levels; experience in decision making and supervision of the People’s Council in the field of land; Experience in decision-making and supervision of the People’s Council in the field of justice.

The conference also set aside time for provincial and district-level People’s Council delegates to exchange and discuss issues from real-life activities to learn from each other, contributing to improving operational skills on the content, tasks of elected representatives, contributing to improving the quality of activities of elected agencies at all levels.
