Thua Thien Hue Farmers’ Association supports many effective models to help members become rich

On April 24, in Thuy Bieu ward, Hue City, the Farmers’ Association of Thua Thien Hue province organized a conference “Evaluating the effectiveness of the model supported by the Provincial Farmers’ Association in 2023 and implementing the models in 2024” .

The conference was organized to evaluate the effectiveness of production development models supported by the Farmers’ Association of Thua Thien Hue province in 2023 and deploy models in 2024. This is also an opportunity for all levels of the Association and members to Farmers, members of “Good Farmers in Production and Business” Clubs, and cooperative groups in the province exchange experiences to make replicating models more effective in 2024.

In 2023, the Farmers’ Association of Thua Thien Hue province has supported farmer members to build 13 production development models with 168 member households participating, with a total support cost of nearly 1.2 billion VND. Many models have so far developed well and initially shown high efficiency such as: Intercropping farming model in Vinh An (Phu Vang district), VietGAP guava planting model in Huong Xuan ward (Huong Tra town), VietGAP guava planting model in Huong Xuan ward (Huong Tra town), Watering Thanh Tra trees in Thuy Bieu Ward (Hue City) and Duong Hoa Commune (Huong Thuy Town)…

These models have contributed to economic development for farmer members, helping farmer members increase their income, get rich and escape poverty sustainably.

During the year, the Farmers’ Association of Thua Thien Hue province also directed and guided Farmers’ Associations at all levels to establish 12 “Good farmers in production and business” clubs, 18 cooperative groups and 1 cooperative to strengthen connectivity and cooperation in production, business, and product consumption, aiming to form production along the value chain.

The conference heard a report evaluating the effectiveness of the model supported by the Provincial Farmers’ Association in 2023 and 6 presentations and discussions from participating delegates. Reports, presentations and discussion opinions have confirmed the effectiveness and necessity of building production development models, “Good Farmers in Production and Business” Clubs, cooperative groups, Cooperative. This activity has helped transfer technical advances to farmer members, change farming practices and transform the structure of crops and livestock in farmer member households, and participate in the restructuring process. agricultural production structure in rural areas.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Farmers’ Association Nguyen Chi Quang requested all levels of the Association to focus on implementing a number of contents to well deploy models and projects in 2024.
