Dong Nai General Hospital achieved diamond certification in stroke treatment

On April 25, Dong Nai General Hospital held a ceremony to announce the diamond certification in stroke treatment awarded by the World Stroke Organization (WSO). This is the second provincial hospital in the country (after Nghe An General Friendship Hospital) to achieve this certification.

Previously, in June 2019, Dong Nai General Hospital was honored to be one of four hospitals to receive “Gold Standard Certification” awarded by the European Stroke Association.

By July 2020, the hospital continued to have the honor of being one of three hospitals in the country to receive platinum certification awarded by WSO.

At the ceremony, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital Ngo Duc Tuan said that in recent years, the hospital has always maintained and maintained the titles it has achieved and constantly strives to improve in all aspects.

“Today, on the occasion of the 122nd anniversary of the establishment of Dong Nai General Hospital (April 25, 1902 – April 25, 2024) and 9 years of the new facility, the hospital continues to be honored to receive the diamond certification. , this is the highest standard awarded by WSO,” said Mr. Ngo Duc Tuan.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung congratulated the achievements of Dong Nai General Hospital. At the same time, he also said that in the coming time, the province will create mechanisms and provide funding for hospitals to focus on specialized examination and treatment.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huy Thang, Vice President of the Vietnam Stroke Association, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Stroke Association, assessed that through monitoring, he realized that in recent years, Dong Nai General Hospital has made progress. Significant progress in stroke treatment. And the diamond certification that the hospital achieved shows that Vietnam is doing better with itself, approaching standards in stroke treatment with the world.
