According to Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, in recent years, Hanoi City has closely coordinated with Dien Bien province through many practical and meaningful activities. After 40 years since Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu Primary School (formerly Dien Bien Town Basic School) was built with capital from the Capital Lottery, Hanoi City continues to honorably support it. Dien Bien province invests in repairing and upgrading schools to be more spacious and modern; Meets the requirements for facilities according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, creating conditions for teachers and students to have a good teaching and learning environment.

With the close attention and direction of the leaders of Dien Bien province along with the efforts and responsibility of the investor; The coordination of local authorities and relevant agencies completed the project in just 9 months of construction; inaugurated at a very meaningful time when the whole country is moving towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In the spirit of Dien Bien education, projects funded by Hanoi City were born one after another: in 2011, 2.4 billion VND was supported to invest in the construction of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted; Support 3 billion VND to invest in the Board of Directors of the Provincial Continuing Education Center; In 2012, supported 9,989 billion VND to invest in the construction of Kindergarten No. 2 Sam Mun, Dien Bien district; In 2014, supported 9.935 billion VND to invest in building Sin Thau Primary School, Muong Nhe district.

In particular, in 1984, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Hanoi City supported investment in the construction of Hanoi – Dien Bien Primary School. In 2004, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Hanoi City continued to support investment in repairing, upgrading and expanding the school. However, over many years of use, some damaged and degraded construction items need to be upgraded and repaired.

To standardize school and classroom facilities and meet the criteria for building schools that meet national standards, Hanoi City has supported 65 billion VND out of a total investment of 70 billion VND for construction, repair, Upgrading Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu Primary School. This is a synchronously and modernly invested project; It has beautiful architecture and is a highlight in the school system in the province.

Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee Le Thanh Do affirmed that the completed project is an event with important political and social significance, opening a new stage of development in the school’s educational work.
