On April 25, the Department of Science and Technology organized a conference to accept the provincial science and technology task Research and application of nano products and biological products in ornamental kumquat cultivation in Hung Yen province by the Institute Science, Technology, Energy and Environment (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) presides over the implementation.
The mission’s research team surveyed and developed a mixing process for micro-nutrient nanoleaf fertilizer sprayed for kumquat trees; Researched and prepared a bio-combined nano plant protection product (Ag-PHMB-Neem oil) that is effective in preventing fungi and bacteria that cause diseases in kumquats. Test results in two kumquat crops in 2022 and 2023 at application models in Binh Minh commune (Khái Chau) show that when using micronutrient nanoleaf fertilizer, it helps increase fruit set rate, healthy trees and brings higher economic efficiency than the control; Using nano pesticides combined with biology helps reduce chemical pesticides by over 30% and disease rates by over 80% compared to farming using only chemical pesticides.
The task leader board completed the development of 2 manufacturing processes and techniques for using micronutrient nano leaf fertilizers and nano plant protection products combined with biology in ornamental kumquat cultivation in Hung Yen province.
