On April 24, PC Quang Binh coordinated with the Red Cross Society of Quang Binh province to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam’s family.

Ms. Tam (55 years old), is a single mother, belongs to a poor household with extremely difficult housing circumstances, her son is often sick, so he has no stable job. The house I live in is the old house of a relative who lent it, which has also been degraded and damaged, but there is no way to repair it.

Through the connection of the Provincial Red Cross, PC Quang Binh chose to support the construction of a house of gratitude for her family with the amount of 60 million VND, the rest was paid by the local government, brothers and sisters and Relatives support both in cash, construction materials and labor days.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Vu Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of PC Quang Binh affirmed that, in addition to production and business tasks, ensuring stable electricity supply to serve people’s lives and development needs. socio-economic situation, the electricity industry strives to fulfill its social responsibility through gratitude work, supporting the donation of gratitude houses to families in particularly difficult circumstances. “In 2024, Central Power Corporation spends 4.2 billion VND to support the construction of 70 gratitude houses in 13 provinces and cities in the Central region – Central Highlands, including supporting the construction of 05 gratitude houses. in Quang Binh province, with a total cost of 300 million VND,” Mr. Phong added.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house were comrade Tran Hai Chau, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Phan Van Cau – Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Quang Binh province and representative of the local government. On the side of Quang Binh Electricity Company, Quang Binh had the participation of Mr. Vu Thanh Phong – Deputy Director of the Company and Mr. Dang Van Ninh – Chairman of the Trade Union.

“Believing that, with the effective help of local leaders at all levels along with the affection of employees of the electricity industry in the Central region, families who are supported to build houses of gratitude will definitely overcome all difficulties and be able to a more spacious and sturdy place to live in the upcoming rainy and stormy season.” Mr. Phong added.

Also on this occasion, Quang Binh Electricity Company was awarded a certificate by the Provincial Cross Society as “Humanitarian Golden Heart”. Mr. Phan Van Cau, Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Quang Binh province, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the humanitarian activities of the Central Power Corporation, Quang Binh Electricity Company in particular and other organizations. Individuals, individuals, and philanthropic organizations in general have joined hands to support and help people overcome difficulties and deprivation, gradually rising out of poverty.
