Opening of the 2024 Propaganda and Book Introduction Contest

On the morning of April 25, at An Thai Hotel (Kon Tum city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the 2024 Children’s Propaganda and Book Introduction Contest with the theme “Pride of Tradition” – Following in your father’s footsteps”, “Following in your father’s footsteps – doing many good deeds”.

The contest “Children propagating and introducing books in 2024” was organized in response to Vietnam Day of Books and Reading Culture, World Book and Copyright Day; Thereby, affirming the role and importance of books, honoring the value of books, aiming to build a learning society. At the same time, create a useful intellectual playground for students to exchange, learn, and better understand the nation’s history and traditional culture; helps students develop reading skills, access and process information, building a sustainable skills foundation.

Participating in this contest, there were 139 contestants who were teenagers and children from districts and cities in the province, divided into 2 age groups: from 5-11 years old and 12-15 years old. Accordingly, there are a total of 27 entries with storytelling content about historical figures, Vietnamese national heroes, and the Central Highlands region; Introducing books about patriotism, the nation’s indomitable struggle, and the noble things of life…

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the candidates entered the official competition with many unique and impressive exams. The atmosphere of the contest was extremely exciting, attracting a large number of people to watch and cheer.

As expected, the contest will take place in 2 days (from April 25 – 26).
