INSEE Vietnam donated Mang Non reading station, providing knowledge to students in Kien Giang province

(Construction) – On April 23, INSEE Vietnam Company held a handover ceremony of Mang Non Reading Station to meet the reading needs of more than 600 students and teachers of Binh Tri Primary and Secondary School, Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province.

Chairman of Kien Luong District People’s Committee, Board of Directors of Binh Tri Primary and Secondary School and representatives of INSEE and partners performed the inauguration ceremony of Mang Non Reading Station Project – Champion of INSEE Prize 2022.

After 2 months of construction, the Mang Non Reading Station was completed to contribute to bringing knowledge to students in remote areas in Kien Giang province.

The Mang Non Reading Station project is the subject of the INSEE Prize 2022 competition from students of the National University – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. This topic surpassed more than 200 competing topics to achieve the highest position and was supported by INSEE and partners for practical implementation.

After that, the student group also directly participated from the first steps of project implementation, from adjusting design drawings, surveys as well as construction supervision.

By April 23, 2024, the project was completed and handed over to Binh Tri Primary and Secondary School in Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province.

Mr. Le Thanh Huong – Chairman of Kien Luong District People’s Committee shared at the inauguration ceremony of Mang Non Reading Station project – Champion of INSEE Prize 2022.

The most special feature of Mang Non Reading Station is that the project does not emit CO2 during operation thanks to the use of construction materials and equipment with low carbon emissions and green certification.

These are INSEE cement, Conwood wood cement, Nippon paint and a well-insulated roof system solution using Kingspan panels, Reetech energy-saving air conditioners and a REE solar battery system with capacity of 20kWh/day (maximum project capacity is 9kWh/day).

Mang Non reading station was honored to receive Lotus Green Building certification (Gold level) from the Vietnam Green Building Council. Once put into use, the project with an area of ​​more than 60 square meters will meet the book access needs of more than 600 students and teachers.

Speaking at the project handover ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Huong – Chairman of Kien Luong District People’s Committee said: “The Mang Non Reading Station project will contribute an important part to the goal of developing education in the locality, especially is in Binh Tri commune area. This is a place where ethnic minorities gather who do not have much access to educational facilities.”
